2018 Minimum Wage Order

A minimum wage increase was announced last year but the wage order was not released until 8th January 2019. Many people were wondering why it was taking so long to gazette the new wage order.
Finally, it is here (for the general wage order) and here (for the agricultural industry). Despite the late gazettement, it’s effective date is 1st May 2018.

so does this mean salaries should be backdated?

Are the amounts given on a gross basis meaning including House Allowance and any other allowances included?
The daily wage includes house allowance but the monthly wage does not meaning the housing allowance must be added.
Hi, would like to know if one is a union member and wants to resign is he/she entitled to his/her service dues ,that is , will one be paid for the years he had worked for Employer?
Confirm with the CBA on whether there is a provision for gratuity/service pay.
Dear Anne,
I have a sales team whom i offered employment subject to performance. After 3 months probation, it was very clear as per the performance evaluations that their performance was not satisfactory. They had not even met a quarter of their target.
I therefore propose to change their remuneration and peg it to achieving 70% of their performance for full retainer and a maximum set retainer in the even they don’t meet targets but their funnel is promising.
Kindly advise on the best way of going about this.
What you propose is a change to their terms and conditions of employment for which you need their consent and sign off.
